Emmett Hollis, age 69, of Attica, father of Cecil Hollis of Veedersburg, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Indiana State Hospital at Rockville. He had been a patient there since May 11, 1966. Mr. Hollis was born Sept. 9, 1897, in Royal Center, Ind., the son of Thomas and Louie G. Conn Hollis. He was married July 18, 1917, at Williamsport to Laura Beever, who survives. He had resided in Attica most of his life and he was a retired moulder, having been employed at Harrison Steel Foundry for 42 years. He was a member of the Fathers Auxiliary of the VFW. Surviving, in addition to the wife, are: two sons, Cecil of Veedersburg and Marvin of Lafayette; one daughter, Mildred Hollis of Crawfordsville; one sister, Mrs. Florence Mounts of Lafayette; and two brothers, Elbridge of Lafayette and Ivan of Pine Village. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica. The Rev. Harry Randolph officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica.  --typed by Walt W

Attica, Ind. (CNS) — Emmett Thomas Hollis, 69, of 1208 S. Brady, died at 10:20 a.m. yesterday (Feb. 1, 1967) at the Indiana State Hospital in Rockville. He had been a patient there since May 11, 1966. Born Sept. 9, 1897, in Royal Center, Ind., he was the son of Thomas and Louie G. Conn Hollis. He was married July 18, 1917, at Williamsport to Laura Beever, who survives.
